The Club & History
Triskelion Polo Club was founded in October 2014 by brothers Cameron and Frazer Houston. They started with only nine horses at the Grenaby Estates Equestrian Centre arena but expanded their string just two months later due to the club's early success. The club has almost 40 horses several years later and hosts regular tournaments, lessons, and events.
The club has moved to new grounds at Ballacooiley, Ballaugh, which feature two playing fields, a stick and ball field, paddocks, and large turnout on site. The club is dedicated to its members' development and focuses on providing a safe and exciting environment in which to learn and progress in polo. Cameron, the club's HPA-qualified coach, offers lessons for complete beginners and intermediate riders, with a wide variety of well-schooled ponies to suit anyone wanting to try their hand at this exciting sport.
The new grounds also provide breathtaking scenery, making it the perfect place to host private engagements such as corporate events, birthdays, and weddings. In 2019, brothers Cameron and Frazer Houston secured an eight-year lease from the Triskelion Polo Club, which was established in 2014 and initially located at the Grenaby Estates Equestrian Centre.

Frazer Houston
General Manager
Frazer Houston, our General Manager, has a rich history in the equestrian world. He began his journey as a skilled polo player, representing the Cottesmore Pony Club.
His talent and dedication led him to win the national championship in the under-14s category and secure the second position in the under-16s the following year. After finishing school, he embarked on a career as a national hunt jockey, riding winners for renowned trainers like Sue and Harvey Smith. However, a fall at Uttoxeter racecourse brought his racing career to an end. Undeterred, Frazer remained involved in the equestrian world and became a well-known equine dentist, with top professional riders on his client list. His passion for horses and equestrian sports led him to participate in various disciplines, including Polo, Eventing, Hunting, Racing, and Team Chasing. He even completed his first open at the age of 14, a testament to his skill and determination.
